Who We Are - EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Michael Chubb: Program Director,
Michael has worked in the Recovery Field since 1998. He holds a Diploma in Life Skills Coaching, Human Relations and Family Counseling and has worked for both Hope for Freedom Society and Pacifica Treatment Centre. He developed the existing Life Skills Program at Hope for Freedom Society where he saw 39 groups graduate over a period of 9 years. As a Client Care Worker he implemented a Life Skills Program at Pacifica which prepared clients for the intensity of that 28 day program.
Patricia Chubb: Program Administrator,
Patricia holds a Diploma in Life Skills Coaching, Human Relations and Family Counseling. She has worked for Hope for Freedom Society as a Life Skills Coach and Office Administrator.
This husband and wife team, have a heart and passion for bringing people to a place of personal healing and recovery, and for helping to integrate clients back into society in a healthy way.
Roy Adams: President
Roy has worked in administration and sales, served as a pastor, and as an alcohol and drug counsellor. During this latter career he became a registered clinical counsellor (RCC). Roy continues to serve his local church as a deacon and as a co-director of the PrimeTime Ministries. He is the president of the FreshStart Ministries Society.
Denise Vike: Treasurer
Since 1992, Denise has been the Office Manager of a residential treatment centre for alcohol and drug addictions. She has served in her community as a volunteered with Meals on Wheels and the Heart Foundation, and as a Deputy Returning Officer. As a covenant member of her church she strives to serve the Lord in whatever way she is able.
Michael Andrew (Andy) Martins: Vice President
Andy has a varied work history and he is currently the manager at the Mister Transmission franchise in Surrey. He was born in Ottawa and moved to the Lower Mainland in 1981. Andy has chosen to be alcohol free for 7 years and he is the proud father of 3 children. He is an volunteer with the annual Vancouver Sun Run and the annual Vancouver Firework Shows as well as a twice weekly volunteer with the FreshStart bread distribution.
Dora Adams: Secretary
Dora is an elementary school teacher who actively looks after her husband Roy. The Adams’ have two single sons and one married daughter. |
